How We Calculate Product Combinations
Every product on The Universal Hair can be defined by several independent dropdown options on the product page. These may include size, skin tone, colour, texture, look, hair origin and additional product-specific options.
For each option, the customer selects one value from the available choices. The total number of possible configurations is calculated by multiplying the number of choices available for each independent option.
This means that every additional independent option can significantly increase the number of possible product configurations.
1. Core Combination Block
Many of our products share the following six core dropdown options:
- Size: 11 options
- Skin Tone: 7 options
- Colour: 24 options
- Texture: 22 options
- Look: 3 options — Natural, Wet, Glossy
- Hair Origin / Type: 8 options
Therefore, any product using these six dropdowns can potentially offer 975,744 unique combinations of length, skin tone, colour, texture, finish and hair origin.
2. Combination Counts by Product Type
In the examples below, “per product” refers to one specific base product. Where applicable, the calculation assumes 10 Remy + 10 Premium products = 20 products within the category.

Bulk products use the six core options without an additional product-specific dropdown.

2.2 Machine Weft — Remy & Premium
Machine Weft products include five additional weft construction choices:
- Double Weft
- Single Weft
- Flat Weft
- Seamless Glue Weft

2.3 Hand Weft — Remy & Premium
Hand Weft follows the same six-option structure as Bulk products.
2.4 Clip-In Extensions — Remy & Premium
Clip-In products include four additional construction choices:
- Halo
- Invisible Clip-In Weft
- Fabric-Weft Clip-In
- Weft Clip-In
2.5 Pre-Tip Extensions — Remy & Premium
Pre-Tip products include three additional option groups:
- Ring Type: 3 choices — Micro, Nano, Loop
- Keratin Tip Shape: 4 choices — I, U, V, Flat
- Strand Weight: 4 choices — 1 g, 0.8 g, 0.6 g, 0.5 g
2.6 Tape-In / Skin Weft — Remy & Premium
Two extension types are available:
- Tape-In
- Invisible Skin Weft
2.7 Closures — Remy & Premium
Closures include 10 possible combinations of closure size, parting and lace, in addition to the six core options.
2.8 Frontals — Remy & Premium
Frontals use 10 possible combinations of frontal size, parting and lace together with the six core options.
2.9 Toppers — Remy & Premium
Toppers include eight possible combinations of topper size, parting and lace.
2.10 Wigs — Remy & Premium
Wigs offer a particularly high level of customisation. In addition to the six core options, they include:
- Type of Wig: 6 choices
- Wig Fit: 11 combined choices
2.11 Ponytails — Remy & Premium
Ponytails use the same six core options as Bulk and Hand Weft.
2.12 Women's Hair Patches — Remy & Premium
Women's Hair Patches include three patch-size choices:
- 6 × 8
- 7 × 9
- 8 × 10
2.13 Men's Hair Patches
Men's Hair Patches use five patch-size choices together with skin tone, colour, texture, look and hair origin.
Note: The final category total depends on the number of separate Men's Hair Patch base products created.
2.14 Hair Streaks — Remy & Premium
Hair Streaks use the six core product options.
2.15 Hair Bangs / Fringes — Remy & Premium
Hair Bangs have one of the most extensive configuration structures in the collection.

- Forecenter Length: 15 choices
- Side-Blend Length: 15 choices
- Forehead Width: 5 choices
